Logo for a Commercial Film & Documentary company based in Nottingham, UK. The name was set before I began work on the project, so the design plays with the idea of ripe fruit- an apple being identifiable with knowledge (tying into the documentary aspect), with the apple peel turning into film as it unravels. I produced a smaller, less detailed version (mainly the sprocket holes in the film) for very small scale work as well.
Would love to hear what people think of it, good or bad, but please be gentle, this is my first post :)
Thanks Tony! What typeface do you think would've been more appropriate? Something bolder? Something more sans serif? Would be interested to hear your suggestion! (or anyone else's for that matter)
Great work! I wish the little nub in the bottom of the apple was a bit more pronounced.
Agree with Tony's comment about the typeface (although my own company logotype is set in a modified version of Museo!). Would have to spend some time with it to figure out the right direction though.
I think I agree with you Amy, I think in the back of my head I was a little worried that the end product would look too much like the outer shape of the Apple logo, so I over-compensated and made it too subtle. Next time they ask for some stationery or business card, I might try and change it without them noticing :)
