Just some condensed navigation system for a web app I'm working on right now.
Evidently search will come with text inside the input and logo will be in the center of header. Left hand top elements will have text inside the button on first release. If our public get's educated around those icons I will remove the text.
Left hand side bar will be used for special features around the user and the social feeling of the site.

@Afraz I've been loving slight glows in dark bg latelly. But I guess I could be less tacky and remove it. Do you think I should keep the text glow then?

@rob Thx man. I have 24 category icons to find so I was concerned on using a mic for hip hop but now I'm starting to tackle the list I think I could use that glyph for that cat.

This is really great @Jeremy Sallée ✦✦✦. My only concerns is the white shadow on the grey buttons of the top nab (star/rocket/user). It looks a bit too opaque imo.
Love the rest, except maybe the glow on the selected item of the left bar. Did you try to have the text and the icon blue instead of a glowing white?

@zee7 ✽ Yhx man! For the inner shadow, this is a very particular one since 99% of those elements will have a pic inside of it and I need to push the shadow due to higher contrast in it. For consistency on the css I've kept the same inner shadow for this one.
As for the second comment, it is not the selected state but the hover one. I will make a blue selected state just like in the top. Still working on the category list and finding 24 small icons for it :)
@Christophe Tauziet I'm not a fan of too pushed white shadows on dark elements. I've spent hours tweaking the mayer style for those already :) As for the glowy element it's been removed already :)
