Although, I foresee a few issues. Not unlike Ecouté, it's very album/song-centric. I personally have such a large music collection that using a music player like this is impractical; I live and die by my playlists. A proper music app for me not only requires first-class support for playlists but tools for playlist modification and creation as well.
Had a look on my iPad with Silkscreen. Awesome work man. There are just a couple of thing I'd change. Mainly the structure of the top bar, the buttons seems to be in the wrong order. Its weird seeing the player controls after the volume controls.
Guys, awesome, awesome feedback, thanks for taking the time.
@Gianni Chiappetta Funny you should mention playlists; when putting this together, obviously I looked at a lot of of other related apps, and one thing I realized was just how little I use playlists on iOS. I'm always using them on the Mac, but never on the iPad or iPhone. With that in mind I made a conscious decision to avoid playlists all together, since my previous experience with them had been so lacklustre, but now that you mention it, and as I write this run on sentence, I'm now starting to think that maybe there's a way to create a really interesting playlist-type tool. I'm going to have to look in to this now.
@Timothy Achumba Really appreciate you checking it out on the device itself. I struggled with the top bar portion, and I'm still not a 100% on it. I decided to put the player controls where they are because I usually hold my iPad with my left hand, and tap with my right, so I wanted the most used button (play/pause) to be in a easy to reach spot so that my hand wouldn't obscure the screen. Having said that, perhaps there is an argument to be made that the view controls (songs/album/artists) are actually used more frequently, in aggregate, than the player controls, and ought to be in that spot, instead. Like I said, I'm not 100% on it.
Really appreciate the feedback, guys, definitely some food for thought, there. I also gotta say, this is the first shot of mine to make it to the popular page, and it's a great feeling to wake up to a response like that. Thanks, everyone! @Dribbble rules!
@Zach Forrester is definitely an interesting twist on the UX here from the "typical" apps. We've been trained that with a alphabet that you navigate it with your right hand. In a way this feels like it was designed for a left hand navigation. [all this is not negative, just pointing out things I see, which Is not bad, just different.]
Other than that looks good so far, the bar is a bit dark I'd tone it down a little more... and that radial "drop-shadow" is a bit heavy. Also I like to see the play button have that blue glow as the other sections you have with the blue glow. That would look sexy, I think :)

Looks user friendly, good contrast. Perhaps some of the icons on the top bar could be a tad larger.
