I'm exploring alternatives for date range selection on a calendar overlay. In this version, user would either click on a single date or click and drag to select a date range.
Any thoughts?
Love it, especially the range concatenation. I'm assuming the Blue is indicating the current day? I'd flip the highlight states, so the current day is noted, but not focussed on, and then make the selected range a colour.
@Jakub Linowski Thanks for the comment! This is how it currently works: when user clicks on start-date and move cursor, the semi-transparent selection cue is made (starting with selected date and on to the cursor). When users click on end-date, the selection is created.
@Aaron Moodie Good point. Yes, the blue is current date. For consistency reasons, selection needs to be inset, so I'll think of something for this blue - maybe I'll go with gray as well.

Maybe incorporate some visual cues to let people know that dragging is possible?
