    Thanks Jarad! While working with the enveloppe shape, I realized that if you remove the outside rectangle the meaning remains, almost like a universal "Chinese" character.

    I love these! I have a few ideas on how to, maybe not simplify, but remove a stroke from your last three.
    With the message box, you could loose the verticle stroke on it's tail and it would probably still read fine. The same would should work on the folder's tag. For the magnifying glass, you could have the circle stroke break early on one side so it doesn't connect to the handle. That might help to unify the look a bit more too.
    Just a thought.
