Beautiful. Only thing that's killing me is that it's not 'the destination' - intentional?
@Brian Lovin Yes, it is intentional. Personally I like the broader sense of 'destination' as a concept, rather than "the destination". There's a few variations on the saying.
More importantly though, I did it for balance. The four lines are now comprised of 3 words / 1 word / 3 words / 1 word respectively. Were the first line to have four words, it would be much more cramped/condensed at the current line height (which is set to match the line height of the second line, 'destination'), unless I were make the text of the four words in that line proportionally smaller, in which case it would be relatively too tiny for my comfort and would decrease overall legibility.
Hell of an explanation, thanks for clarifying.
Great! @Sean McCabe
I agree with @Brian Lovin about the "the" but also understand why you left it out... I think it could have worked writing it vertically up the side of the "D" and still have the same visual balance
@Dale Pagenkopf It could, but just because it can doesn't meant it should. That execution would significantly weaken the solidity of the composition.
true and beautifully crafted
Sounds pretty Everest-y ;)
