Haven't worked on a logo for a while. Thought i'd have a play with a friend's company that he is starting. Any thoughts would be awesome :)

I like the colors and type you used. I also love the "ED" you could really use it a lot. Nice work!
I read it as REED - not RED due to both the E and the 3 - I recommend losing one of those (unless it is indeed REED)
Like the font / color choices and I think they work together as a whole on the texture / with the grunge.
I read it as "RED" purely because the next word was "BRICK" so i think it works, but i agree that if "RED" was ever on it;s own, it would read as "REED" instead.
Great concept tbh.
Lovely concept. Love the texture too.
Extending the E and shortening the "brick" part of the D might remedy the problem.
Thanks everyone for the feedback! I will fine tune it :)
I keep seeing a cinder block in this. if thats what IS supposed to be there then I would make the E longer and get rid of the backwards E attached to the D. Then It would probably look less like REED. :)
EDIT: Actually... I took another look at a cinder block. All you would have to do is get rid of the backwards E attached to the D and then move the 2 letters together.
It almost has a Russian feel to it, mainly with the red reversed lettering. Looking good though!
i love the background texture, the logo looks killer!

Continued logo exploration, what one you guys think has more potential to keep going? Thanks!!

I agree with others. You can also try to outline the 3 (read reverse E) or vary the color / shade. Would still appear like a brick and avoid the REED view. Love the simplicity and play of negative space. Solid.
