I like where you're going. I'm not particularly sure about the sizing of the elements. As the icon is currently, it seems to be sized strangely in that the only element that is affected by the canvas of the roundrect is the board, but none of the other elements are affected. I've made a couple alternate ideas:
I think, overall, the elements on the wood background can be a bit larger. Also, I think you can bump up the shadows a bit to show that the mark is pressed into the paper. Some thoughts :)
@Jesse Dodds Simple, straight forward. Perhaps the clip could use some work and it might just be because of the background pattern but the top right edge (light blue) of the logo doesn't match the radius of the left edge.
You could also try enhancing the contrast with a bright highlight around the icon.
The login form that goes with this is beautiful, and if the product does what I think it will do: Finally!

An icon I put together this morning for a project I'm currently working on. Would love to hear any feedback :)

Not a whole lot to say. Very clean. Love the colour of wood you chose. Love the blue.

Love the simplicity and execution of this!

Great letterpress feeling on the blue inks and the paper looks so textually soft.

In 1 the paper gets stretched horizontally, and in 2 the icon is cut off like the iPhone example.

I like the way it is, different from all the other clipboard icons! Keep it as is or it will just become lost in a sea of clipboard icons :)
