The sport theme is continuing, now it's Soccer ball! It's 17 days to Euro 2012, can't wait…
How about you guys? Are there any soccer fans on Dribbble?
over 1 year ago
Poland & Ukraine yo!
Big soccer fan here!
Yes, there are soccer (better: football!) fans on Dribbble. And as always: You guys nailed it. Finally let me say that we (Germany) will win the trophy :P
Just one question: Why didn't you choose the actual Euro 2012 ball ("Tango 12")? Don't get me wrong: Your ball is amazing!
Yep, love my football (Soccer) Design Football, Play football and coach football If I had more time I would do more football related stuff!
Not a giant soccer fan, but the european and world championships are always fun to watch with friends and beer! Go Netherlands!
Who are you rooting for @Artua ?
@ Moritz v. V.: it was the client's request to use more "classic" look of the soccer ball.
@Lennart Breel: Italy :)
not a huge soccer fan but I won't miss a Dutch game during Euro 2012 :)
Sure I'm a big soccer fan! c'mon Italy!! :-) @Artua
You forgot the Dutch flag... ;p
Nice illustration man! I love your sense for lighting.
@Tim de Groot; Why Dutch? :)
I hate sports, Icon looks great though! :P
Well, according to me football is quite boring, I'm all about hockey! And since Sweden literally suck at football I guess I've to cheer for Poland because my grandma is polish lol
@Patrik: Sweden looks not that bad to me. They are still in final 16 :)
@Artua, great job! But does this model of the ball exist in the production? After all, the Euro2012 has the completely different ball!
What a question, Soccer is a must. By the way i prefer the basketball you made.
Great work! @Artua but which actual size of work file here?
Of course there are soccer fans in here. I'm from Argentina. That ball looks pretty much to the one of the best ones in history. The Tango 78.
@Artua I would be surprised if they even make it to the quarterfinals. But what do I know, don't know sh*t 'bout football :P
Stitching is great, and I have no idea how you did the pattern if not 3d. The noise filter is really strong, though, I would tone it down. the shading at the top is perfect, you captured the slight shine of the plastic and the surface beneath, but at the bottom it is too soft and noisy. Also, the black shapes don't appear to be centered :/ though this is accurate, it is good practice in icons to create an "idealized version" of the object.
Is this month "Do a soccer ball"?... last month it was do a weather icon app.
Arjen Robben doesn't like this picture.
@Kasper Andersen: I am sure he doesn't :)
