Finally happy with the source list. Repository icons: blue icon has a remote repository, grey icon is local only. Status indicator: left is local changes, right is remote changes.
Love the repository icon and the overall feel. Did you consider creating a different icon for remote repositories instead of using color? A color difference like blue/gray implies online/offline to me.
This is really shaping up! I hope it's is in actual development. There is a nice Git Objective-C framework, albeit not 100% complete, found here http://github.com/geoffgarside/Git.framework.
@Taylor... Let me know if I'm misunderstanding you all, but just to clarify: This is for Git so both the blue and grey icons represent repos locally, but the blue ones show that there is a remote(online) repo tied to it.
@Eddie (Disclaimer: I haven't used Git too extensively, so I may be misunderstanding a fundamental concept here.) The point I was originally trying to make is that a color-only change like blue <-> gray traditionally implies a state transition (from offline/online, or connected/disconnected, etc..), whereas it seems like you're intending for color to differentiate two different *classes* of repositories: Those that are tied to remote repos and those that aren't. (Can online repositories turn into local-only or vice versa?) This is a minor nit, but having different icons to represent the different *types* of repositories may clarify the experience a bit for Git newcomers. <shuts up and goes off to read more about Git>
Ah ok I get what you mean. I definitely want to keep the icon the same as a repo is a repo, it just either has a remote or it doesnt so i dont know if i should go beyond a color change but maybe something other than grey if i end up needing more states. Thanks for the critique, I'll pass this post along to the client and get their thoughts.
Just have a QQ about your process though; are you mocking up purely in PS or are you doing some stuff in Interface Builder, etc? Would love to know your method...
@Justin: right now it's all PS, but when we start to get into the interactions I'll probably move a little into xcode to work through some of the apps behaviors.

Nice to see some Mac OS work!
Also I agree with Mike Bernardo regarding the choice of colors.

@Mike: actually that is what they mean. They greyed one dont have an online/remote repository while the blue ones do.

Lovely work, but I do agree with Mike regarding the use of color to differentiate local/remote repositories as opposed to online/offline.
