I'm not 100% on the color of the brick in this setting. Or the original ground tiles. They say "mesa plateau" more than "forest floor." Palette based on an expanded Mega Man 2 palette.

The little leafy ledge is a little hard to see against the background, but maybe that's intentional.

Nope, that's just me rushing to dribbble an in-progress piece. The background color is temporary until I flesh out a real parallax background image.
Also, if you toggle back and forth between the last two shots of this scene you'll see that I also tweaked the stump and well to a.) position Mimeo in the center rather than on the back edge and b.) make both more tile-able.

I'm ready to lose my much valued family time playing this game. Will it come with multiplayer and network play? ;)

8-bit Woods (NES Palette)

I love constraints. This feels so much better now that I've limited the palette to only those colors the NES was actually able to produce.
And that was my last Dribbble shot. Maybe I shouldn't have posted all of those animated gifs ;)
