The background is awesome. Is this going to be a video? The only thing you might want to reconsider is the bottom bar. Users would confuse it with a tab bar, even though it looks nice.

You drag the bottom section up to reveal more into. Probably have static images with video/cgi overlays.

I've been working on a weather app as well. :) I've been working on creating the weather background, similar to what you have, just been trying to find the best weather provider. That has to be the hardest part about this. One thing that doesn't fit to me is the font your using for the 9˚ To me, I would get something that would match the location text. Other than that, nice UI. I like it :) Keep up the awesome work! :)

Both fonts are Gill Sans and not going to be the finished font that i plan to use.

I wouldn't of noticed that they were both Gill Sans. Looks like two totally different fonts. Anyhow, I like the idea you have in mind :)
