New version of Ego will sport some new features, including a system status notifier that will allow me to keep users informed of 3rd-party service issues from directly inside the app.

3rd party service problem notifications would be super helpful, especially since all of a sudden it's been really crashy - suspect Google Analytics is the culprit.

Also, I <3 Ego and beta testing too... Wink wink.

What, you're tired of being blamed for Ego not working now? You want people to know that it's not your fault and some service is the issue? C'mon.

    Oh, right. Good idea.

I would love to add people as beta testers, but I'm terribly, terribly lazy. Giving out beta software for iPhone apps is so much work. But I appreciate the offers.

Also, re: Google Analytics: Google are douches lately. If you're having crashes, go into each GA widget in settings and reselect the profile. That should fix it.

Looking very nice sir. It really is unfortunate though that you have to build this updater just to keep users informed.

Thanks for the heads up about how to fix the crashing problem Garrett. I know it wasn't fault but it's still fun to blame you anyway ;-)
