I am seeing so many designs that are already on a pretty decent level in the rebounds, i have to say it confuses me... i don't think someone just starts out and makes something on such a level without having gone through a series of trial and error. So with all due respect i call a bluff on "first designs" for most things that are rebounded.(sorry guys!)
This is definitely not my first design ever, but as i was cleaning out some old boxes yesterday i found this... its obviously done in MS Paint, which was my go-to tool long before i ever heard of photoshop. I think it was made somewhere in 1999/2000, which would mean i was about 10 or 11 and back then drawing things was just my hobby, i had no idea that it would eventually become my job. However i did like it a lot! I was a huge Lego and Pokémon fan and i had drawn all 150 pokemons in paint. I even used pixel halftones and such for shading at one point...
All of those drawings got lost after my computer caught fire (litterally) while i was designing we didn't have internet and i had never heard of back-ups.
I just remember being very busy drawing a Cloyster pokemon and then hearing my mom ask me why there was smoke coming out of the computer hahaha.
haha, I loved the story! I remember when I also used paint, I never knew about photoshop, it was like some magical software when I discovered it. But your lego character looks dope!
