@Chris Beaumont @Joshua Krohn I played with that shadow a bit. I've been working with a fairly limited color palette so if I made it go over the continents I'd want to shade them differently but i didn't really have a color to change them to. If I layered it totally on top of them it just looked odd having the continents cut. Maybe I'll play with it a bit more. Thanks for the suggestions though fellas!
