I've been working on a texture today for a client icon. It seemed too good to go to waste, so I've also created a couple of iphone 4/4S backgrounds. Something tells me they should be engraved with something, but not sure. Any suggestions let me know.

Anyway, feel free to download these for your own personal use, but please dont rip them and call them your own - thanks!

For iPhone backgrounds, you should put some shiny, parallel wear marks directly below where the icons slide across.

Because, if there's one thing about leather textures, it's that they rarely show wear. ;)

These are perfect. I tried doing a full leather backdrop for an app recently that didn't look tacky like most of the ones out there, but I didn't spend enough time with the highlights and burning like you did. The subtle grain is great too.

Wow! Looks fantastic! Do you have any tips on how to make the leather texture? Mine always comes out like a canvas covered in poo...
