    This is an illustration of Charles Darwin for an upcoming banner. I'm drawing it large, but the final banner will be only 227px wide. The tricky part is scaling down the linework - textures that look fine at the large size get much darker when condensed.

    So far, the area under Darwin's eyes has been a lot heavier than I wanted, making him look like a hungover Santa. I think the individual lines are interesting, though, so I've posted a crop from the large version instead of the smaller, final banner.
