"We shape our tools and our tools shape us. As more of the tools we live with every day become digital instead of physical, our opportunity – and responsibility – as designers is multiplying. We live in a world of screens, and we are the ones who decide what goes on them. We are in a unique position to have an impact – one that lasts longer than the next redesign or the latest technology. What happens when we stop thinking of ourselves not just as developers or experience designers, and take up the mantle as a new generation of product designers for a digital world?". — @Wilson Miner
Nice ui presentation. Love the colors and atmosphere!
I think it will be a good idea to add some 'historical' dust speckles and particles going from top left corner through rays of daylight :)
To be honest, I'm over this whole "I make things, we make things. Hey! I just made a thing. I'm a creative. etc etc" act portrayed by so many designers.
Is it really too hard to say: I'm a designer with a background in the arts (instead of a "creative"). I'm just created an icon etc.
Or: We're a design team based in Oz. We're pretty damn creative, and as a result, we constantly create free icons/templates/wallpapers etc for our loving fans.
@Matthew Ah I wasn't saying you specifically put on that act, I mean a percentage of designers in the industry :)
I completely agree with you and I'm all for that philosophy. I'm just bothered by the phrases 'I make "THINGS"' and so on and so forth. It seems to be trending too much in my opinion, I'd much prefer for designers to use fresh phrases and word (and design) in a way that captivates and excites the audience/client/viewer.
The shot is excellent, and using it as your homepage background gives your work a really personal touch, hope your clients will feel it. Really stands out compared to the usual "Hey, i'm X, and i design c00l website" thing :p

@Louis Bullock Not trying to put on an act at all. I'm not sure if you've seen this presentation — http://vimeo.com/34017777
The point is, that we have more potential than just to design or build something. We have potential to really do something meaningful.
