Looks great, but I would really change the orange "metal" to a standard silver grey. Right now the colors look plain weird to me. :-)

It's a tough call. Personally, I really like the grey one, but the orange one has a sense of uniqueness to it that is lost in the grey version.
Also, maybe lighten the grey just a little bit to give it the same "glowy" feeling as the orange has and to let it stand out more from the background.
Again, I have to say you did a great job!

Putting in a screenshot that's not in the environment intended won't give you the feedback you need.

Great work on this... has turned out a lot better than I had imagined from the sketch! Prefer the variant but I think that's largely due to the environment you've placed it in.
