Maybe sir you can leave the white border on the images, its giving me a bit weird feel, without the line it will feel more with environment.

To be honest I'd keep the noise on the button, I think it works well. Overall, its gorgeous. Love seeing this develop!

It looks good man. I think thumbs would win a lot more, if you would completely remove the outer shadow and the white 1px border. Keep it simple. The slide arrows need to be bigger, they seem hard to click. (and see).
The name of the author beneath the thumb title, should be more spaced in relation to the title in order to increase visual distinction.
Other than this, seems promissing! :)
