   I like that you didn't just use the basic calendar look! The inlay on the day square confuses me a little, as if things are supposed to slide in and out of the orange square?

   hmmm...guess you're right. would have been fine just to have the orange border for the current day without the inlay and might as well just make it a white bg and only use the grey bg for days that have events. thanks @Eric Benjamin :)

   Sounds like a great direction! Is there a button that would return the user back to today if they scroll too far? Maybe not necessary?
