A website I co-created for a friends schoolproject. It will be a fashion website. The little titles above the menu-items are the ways it will be spoken in german. I used the font "Courier" for the first time ever :-)
There are several areas on this page, please see the full-version and tell me your well-appreciated feedback!
EDIT: Check out this early beta with some CSS3-Awesomness :-) http://dsgn.li/NBlQ
Looks awesome so far, but i've some picky feedback for you.
1. The Logo
I know, maybe the angles of those two needles is exactly how you want them, but it looks a bit strange to me.
2. Loose the "menue" on the left, everyone knows it's a navigation. Make it cleaner by loosing unnecessary objects.
3. try to loose the texture in the header background, makes it more clean & fashion like. just try how it looks, you can always go back. Especially when you're working with such big and nice pictures the texture makes it harder to enjoy them, because there are just to much pictures & textures.
Textures are awesome, skeuomorphic stuff as well, but only if you're trying to communicate a specific feeling/story. In this case, you're in the happy position having great pictures.
4. The position of the navigation objects is not centered between the thin lines.
Anything else looks good so far, keep us posted on this one! (:
Nice website design. But I would try out a similar color like the one in the header instead of the white regarding the content areas because right now they don't really connect with the very appealing top and bottom area.
At first: @Tobias van Schneider ▲▲▲schneider Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate your feedback and love dribbble more and more to be connected to other designer which give me valuable advice. Lets see what I can do to the logo.... :)
@Julius Koroll Great job!
I do not agree with @Tobias van Schneider ▲▲▲ on 2nd point - I think even if the word "menu" "technically" unnececassy, but its looks neat and does not distract nor disturb.
