This is pretty cool. The lines need to be thicker so it reads as a bird at smaller sizes... I know it's just a design exploration, but still.
Maybe some light gradients would add an even cooler touch.

Yep, is pretty nice. I think producing a version with gradients, like shadows seeping into the folds would create a really interesting logo.
