Close-up crop of a wine label I'm developing. It's a tribute to one of the real farm workers, Oom Jan ('Uncle John') who toils tirelessly behind-the-scenes. I used excerpts from an interview conducted with him on the front label. Gems like "Farming has been in my blood from the day that I was born." Honesty always trumps marketing BS! :-)

As he's a God-fearing man, the etching shows him in his Sunday best.

Style inspired by Victorian broadsides, to lend gravitas. See attached.

    Hope you like!

Ouch. You're smokin' aces as always. Makes me feel like giving up and doing better work all at the same time. Youre one of the few people who I find simultaneously depressing and inspiring. Congrats.

Captivating detail brother. There's absolutely no short cuts in your work, nothing but undivided attention to every single detail. Love it - as always. Very inspiring.

@Matt Vergotis - Thanks! Wish I could put as much effort into my dress sense. Wearing no underpants today! More comfortable when one sits in front on a Mac all day! :-)

I'm a big fan of your work :-) I'm from Indonesia (Jakarta). Oom is in our language because of the Dutch colonization for 2.5 centuries. Tante is for aunty, right?

@Inka Mathew - Sorry, I remember you mentioning that before! My Dutch grandmother was born on Java. My father born in the Netherlands, speaks fluent Dutch. Me only Afrikaans! So Tante or Tannie is good!
