Nice! Wondering if it might look even better if the height of the search bar were equal to the height of the buttons.

yes good point. the search bar is quite spacious, which I like, so I'm wondering if the buttons would look too tall at that height. I could give some thought to the difference in size though... maybe it needs to be more deliberate.
