Sexy, I like the white only version better. That said, based past experiences im willing to bet the client will want the ly. What font did you use as the base for this?
Obviously a bit late to the party, but would a ligature between the last 'S' and the 'O' make it read more as 'Lessonly'? Lovely type work though, really like it.

It definitely helps. I still read that, but my brain might be conditioned from exposure to the other renditions.

I read it as it should be in your previous shot. That is to say, I don't think it needs the blue.

Making the ly blue made me kinda think of what does it mean itself on the first sight. In the white-only version it's clear to me ;)

Thanks, @Justin Salsburey ☁ I'm kinda the client, so we're good there. The final version we went with was white with a very subtle yellow 'ly'.
The lettering is custom.
