    I would also totally use this.

    Also, this version includes some features omitted in the previous version.

    Except for adding the three knobs on the left and deleting the button on the right you didn't change anything right? Anyway I prefer this one over the other one because it's more functional to me. Comparred the two I think I would miss the three knobs on the left in the other one.

    @matt rossi Thanks Matt!
    @Thorsten Beeck You sir are correct - I realised (with the help of some lovely people on Twitter) I'd left out some pretty vital functionality in the form of the close, maximise and minimise buttons, so decided they took preference over the refresh :)

  5. Saw Adam do a concept earlier, thought i'd give it a shot too. It was a challenge with such a confined space, but I tried my best.

    The dark bar slides down when an email(s) is selected. Note: Archive is hovered.

    You guys should give it a go too, maybe a little rebound fun?

    @Brenton Little I'm afraid not anytime soon dude - this is just a theoretical design exercise :)

  9. Thought Adam's shot was great and wanted to come up with a 'Mini Mail App' that I would want to use myself.

    I'm a fan of interactivity, so here is a HTML mockup: http://jsfiddle.net/joshnh/dBgfU/show/
