Here is an icon I designed based on my favorite camera - the Polaroid SX-70. I designed it just for fun but it could be used to replace the Icon for Aperture, iPhoto, Photoshop, or anything else.

This is amazing. Keep doing icons please, you are killing it!
I can't click the Like button enough times, dammit. Really beautiful Sean!
This is beautiful! Love the details and depth
This is straight pimp!
This absolutely amazing. How did you do that? anyone could show us how through some dribbble tutorials or external links? That would be awesome if some toke the time and did it :)
Roland, I did most of it in Illustrator and the background and brushed steel parts in Photoshop. I learned a few years back how to do a camera lens from this tutorial.
The lens in this illustration is a based on what I learned there. Thats the hardest part, I think.
I love the way you reduced the camera to its essence, without using the popular sx-70 shape. Stunning.
Awesome work dude! Especially love how the background makes this just look even better.
Love the icon, but the background is even better! :)
I really want that on my homescreen of my iPhone!
I want it!
Thank You for the link Sean. Very useful.
