This was painted in under 10 hours in Painter 12.x and was shooting for a little bit of an old school look. This was a blast to paint. Sometimes I get sick of the subject before I'm done but not this one. Cheers Tucker!
@Greg that is an incredible story! Glad you found your family. My dad was adopted at birth, as were several of my aunts and uncles. He has never really felt the need to find his original family, however, maybe we kids will research it someday. Good painting as well.
@Joseph Alessio thanks man. It was and still is awesome.
Good luck if you do decide to do a search. I know it's a lot easier these days with the internet.
@Anton Peck I actually started with blue toned shadows, and there are still some around his right eye but didn't like how cool it got so added the red into it. With the blue it didn't have that "i'm gonna kick your ass" feel to him as it does now. Thanks for the kind words my friend! Anytime you wanna learn I'll share the tiny bit of knowledge I have. Keyword, tiny. :)

"Little Brother" is a tribute to my little brother I didn't know I had until two years ago next month. (see full story at http://gregnewman.org/journal/2010/jun/11/stork-lost-one-adoption-reunion/)
