The start of an illustration I'm working on for fun. Going for a casual, fun style - and yes, it is inspired by the movie :)

Any feedback or critique would be welcome!

    More Ewan McGregor, please ;)

Seriously though, LOVE this so far and LOVE the movie! It's seriously the only movie EVER that made me cry. I can't wait to see what you do with this! :D

@Devon Henderson Yes to Ewan McGregor! lol

Thanks so much! I'm planning to illustrate it literally - with a large fish basically filling up a small pond. The fish will be suitably wide-eyed and flipping about.

Sorry I'm a bit late on this one, but really good to see this! Glad to see you found some time for lettering :) Such beautiful curves everywhere, the 'B' in particular is stunning as is the top crossbar on the 'F'. Some of those loops look a bit too narrow/closed, especially on 'the n's and 'm'. I'd be tempted to try removing them entirely and try a simpler stem like on your 'i'. The diagonal of 'S' feels a bit too angular as well (that letter is always a pain though). Anyway looking forward to seeing where you take this!

@Claire Coullon Thanks for your comments! Glad you're liking it so far. I totally agree with your suggestions and will definitely give them a try. I knew there was something not quite right about the 'S' and the smaller loops - I think eliminating them altogether would look better indeed. Thanks again!
