Working on a blog entry navigation UI for touch-enabled devices. Tap the arrow or swipe it and it pops out with an animated loader while the next or previous page loads.
I did try a lightish brown, but it really stood out. This is going to be sitting against a lot of busy text since it's fixed at the bottom of the site. This might be a better representation: http://cl.ly/1u3g001F3t0103113i3V
Anthony: just checked this on my iPad and it is indeed very dark. I'll work on lightening it up, thanks for the tip. I also think I'll lighten up the progress indicator significantly.
FYI: We ended up switching to having these hidden by default and letting people discover them. We also switched them to straight black so they felt more like a utility of the browser and less like a design element of the site.

UI looks good. Feels really dark though. Have you tried a lighter color for the text and arrow?
