Update: Concept and all graphic interpretations of Moebius nest egg logo that can be found on internet including Dribbble are not for sale and they are legal property of my client.
Jan, keep in mind the MTS rebrand. It was very public and spread well beyond Russian segment of the Internet. They were pushing the "egg" concept very strongly, had contests for finding egg-shaped islands in Google Maps and some such.
This particular mark is also close to Rogers, but I suspect you know that.
All in all, this is one of those odd cases when the black and white version is inferior to the decorated version. Not sure how to reconcile that though.
@Alex thanks for pointing that out, I appreciate your remarks and found it very helpfull for making better picture about project I am working on! I know few more examples of using egg in world of brands and I am seriously considering my next steps in this occurrence. For example Twitter basic avatar for new users looks same as MTS logo. I see bigger problem for MTS logo in that - their simple designed egg in square with rounded edges looks almost exactly same ...
Its very early concept that wasnt even presented to a client yet. I want to add to this concept bigger value in its execution, for example I used Mobius stripe which is asociated with nest/home/stability symbolism and it also communicates flexibility. My execution adds third dimension to a logo design. Mobius stripe shapes double C letters reflecting company name, too. I think all this are steps that can differentiate logo from MTS for example.
Rogers or Chase bank logos are very familiar to me. BTW these two are pretty close to each other.

One color version. No shading, no problem :)

@Alex Pankratov Good point, Alex...but honestly, in this day and age, I can't imagine the one color version will need to be used that often.
