Overall, awesome. The red/gray combo reminds me of youtube. I wonder if it would look more "custom" with a different accent color.

Like it. But I have a tip for you. Make the borders around the 'popups' black and 30% transparant. Looks grey on white and will always be darker on dark. Now it looks blurry.

Vin, I think the color is appropriate, as it goes with this companies branding.
Gedy, I like it overall, but the outline on the volume slider should have higher contrast or be a 'multiply' layer to be darker than any video behind it. Currently it takes away the crispness from the element - almost making it blurry.
Also, the left expand arrows are al little fuzzy. Is the company logo necessary? Isn't that redundant when in the context of the site/app?

Looks good, however, the icons seem really squished together. Maybe it's because you wanted to feature everything in the small shot size.

Also, potentially because of the size of the shot, the UI seems a bit tall. I really appreciate when a video player UI gets out of the way even when it's displayed and is shrunk vertically. You could save quite a few pixels without even changing the UI elements' sizing.
I could tell this was your work right off by the style of the content :) matches the iphone bit you're working on. Nice!

@Vin - it's true what Matt said - the primary color in our banding is red and I didn't want it to be monochromatic.

@Matt - On their own site it may not make much sense, but embedded on other sites, it will be helpful to see where the video comes from (like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.).

Gedy I would just make the sound controls a bit bigger so they would be easier to control from a usability point of view. So sharp though I should get my buddy at YouTube to use it for next gen player.

I second Ali's comment about the volume size. The nib seems like a pretty small target to click and drag.
