Reverse Imagineering

Spent the day capturing and dissecting the various layers and tilesets of Metroid: Zero Mission. And I haven't even gotten the Morph Ball Bombs yet.

Lessons learned:

1. Zero Mission's camera runs circles around mine; it snaps and pans to hidden areas only when you get close enough. Smart Ninty, smart.

2. 3/5 seems to be the optimal ratio for parallax background images.

3. Parallax is relative to the camera's (not the player's sprite's) position in the map.
