I whipped this up as an alternative to the new iTunes 10 icon. I thought it might be cool to borrow from Apple's existing icon language. There's a little Quicktime, Dashboard, and Time Machine in there. I'm pretty happy with the result for an hour's worth of work.
This is beautiful, and it really scales down well. I love how the semi-large inner bevel turns into what looks like a pixel-border when you get down around the 40px or so range. I'd use this in a heartbeat over the crappy icon Apple made.
While this is lovely, it's quite similar to the Quicktime X icon. If placed next to each other in the dock, I'd think some miss-clicks would occur. Especially for the color blind.
I think the reason I like this so much is because you took the "bend" out of the top of the musical note. The musical note on the default icon looks like it should be hanging on some pre-teen girl's bedroom wall.

This is the best on dribbble at the moment. Great work. I however would like to see the removal of that bubble nubbin. Just make it a circle. :D

This is pretty hot. Love it. Although, have we tested it in the dock yet? If not, we'd be just as bad as Apple.
