Yar, make the center part a little bigger. This is badass. I'm glad you made the notes glow, doing a 180 like that makes it feel like the next gen of iTunes.

I don't actually use the new icon at all as i'm a Somatica kinda guy, but this is the best replacement i've seen. Follows the Quicktime X style = Perfectly fitting.

I don't see how this is better. It's just more of the same. shading highlights on the thick border suggest an odd shape. Plus the music note doesn't look quite optically balanced.
Not bad overall though, but it's not an improvement

I have to agree with ryan, it feels very 'more of the same'.
I really think apple need to move away from this look completely and start something new, its very tired out.

Was just toying around with an alternative to the "awesome" new iTunes 10 icon. I think this fits their style and looks less disgusting. What do you think?

I kind of like Angela's version best. I still think no one hit the sweetspot of border thickness yet. It should be just in between Angela's and Chris', IMO.
