Well, Likes Above Replacement would just be LAR (following the WAR idea).
Besides, I'm of the theory that when you want to rate excellence, you use "above average". When you want to rate "useful", you use "above replacement". In baseball, the difference between a replacement level player (0.0 WAR) and average (about 2.0 WAR) is pretty significant. And there is indeed value to being below average. I mean, only half the players (or, at least half the playing time) can be above average.
But we're rating excellence here. Let's go for the gusto. Likes Above Average!
