Yeah, I was thinking the a could be more pronounced. Maybe if the stroke was a little thinner, the shape of the a wouldn't look as spongy. It's pretty minor, I think it reads fine, but that is the only area that I can see that could use refining. It's a really fun logo you've made. The "o" looks more like a recognizable o because it's more tight and not as open as the a.
The bottom of the 'C' gets a bit flat as it goes between the words, and that swoop at the top of the 'C' is pretty large; I almost read it as a an 'e.'
But I'll say that I have no critiques of the word 'Town,' you did that quite tastily. :)
i LOVE it!! i do agree the 'a' needs tightening up, but just a little- the looseness is what draws you into it. i would like to see some air in the loop of the 'k' but that's just me. the other letters are rendered just beautifully- esp the w,c and e.
oh- and i like the flatness of the c between the words because if anyone's ever iced lettering on a cake you know when you pull on the bag the icing flattens out a bit- that really makes it look realistic to me. i also like that it followed through on the top of the T the same way.
@lisa, wow. Thanks. I am glad you can 'see' the 'icing' in this, especially as this is the flat untreated version. That makes me really happy to hear. Also the k is the letter I am currently least happy with, so I will look into that.
Either make the k like the e and make it hollow or have the top part end in a stroke tip. The hollow version will make it feel more consistent, adding the tip will give it a little kick.
Been a while, but this is the final of the lettering for the Cake Town logo. Final coloring will be done later. Worked on the a and k and massaged everything in town.

Lookin' awesome. Definitely see the coke problem though.
One thing, I would decide on either sharp tails or rounded tails and use the one style everywhere instead of randomly.
