   Because of all the padding in the circle, it makes the ampersand feel a bit far away from "Self", so you don't read it as intended ("And Self"), but as two different thoughts. Maybe tighten up somehow?

   Might be worth, for shit's sake, trying the ampersand not centered in the circle but rather pushed to the right to solve what Darren describes? Who knows. I need a sammich.

    I like Andy's version where the ampersand fills the space more and the typestyle is varied. Though I like the boldness of the amp you originally have. Combine them?
