I definitely think the supporting type works great and I love the size and style contrast it creates with the name. I'd just be tempted to bring it up a notch in point size so it's a tiny bit easier to read (but not so much that you lose the balance you've got).
I love the arrows, but I also see "attorney" and "divorce" on opposite sides of a table in a boardroom. They all could be unintentional, but work quite well for the subject.
