Had a bit more time over the weekend to work on the new version of my site - it really helped getting the text in at the correct size. Am happier overall with it now.
Fair amount of detail is lost when its this small, but you get the rough idea.

This is a great layout - one thing I'd like to see is the green bar at the top for the nav extended across the whole page. But that's just me.

@Tyler - thanks for the comment. Am just playing around with this when I get a spare few mins at the moment - so its really a work in progress. Will deff be more updates!

When is this going live? It looks absolutely great. I like how the top navigation doesn't fit to the width of the entire page, but rather just the left column.

@Tanner - Thanks! that was the plan with the nav. Not sure about a live date yet - want to have 2 or 3 decent articles written and coded before I go live so there is quite a lot of work there. Also writing those will help test the layout - want it to be a flexible as possible.

A few further refinements on this over the weekend.
Previous version had an odd one column gap on the right which I was not happy with so decided to revisit the layout. Still sticking with the 12 column grid, but using it in a different way now. This should be more flexible for different content/articles.
Just tweaking this now - time for build soon!
