But to be honest, I like the present design better. The "less layer styles" approach (in 'rekeningen' that is) fits the ING brand more. But I do like the icons and side-menu in your redesign. :)
I have been waiting for the ING app for ages after ABN released such a good one. I couldn't help but feel disappointed when they released the current one. I believe they developed it in-house... Are you guys in contact with ING? The app sure needs an update
@Yummygum, what about the iOS 4 users ? Correct me if i'm wrong, but half side-menu thing is just compatible for iOS 5. For older iOS users, what do you plan, a new page instead of half side-menu. Any way to do that ?
@Tahir Yuksel it's just a concept for how we personally would like to see it, and we both have iOS5 running. That's why we haven't given older iOS' any thought in particular ;).
@Yummygum ,yeah i know, i just wonder if you have any solution for this situation. That's a problem we also consider in our applications. I couldn't use this cool feature just to keep the app compatible for older versions :)

Nice idea to redesign existing apps!

Well, at least they ditched that weird menu and introduced a sliding panel to access the menu in today’s update

@Thijs Remie Yeah, saw that. We got a sneak peek a while ago, when ING invited us to their mobile app headquarters :)
