I kept tinkering with the circular icon style and this is where I've arrived at for now.
– Adopted the Photoshop CS6 colors
– Reduced depth of the characters
– Different reflection in characters
– Greater refraction of the backside of the circle
– Tiny Adobe logo at the bottom in the larger sizes
– More subtle shadow and glow at the bottom
I've attached the icon (Mac folder + .ico) – try it out and get a feel for it and let me know what you think!
Once the color scheme for the rest of the CS6 apps becomes public I'm thinking this could become a complete set.
please send it to Adobe, the new one is too ugly
Love how this turned out. Looks amazing. Thanks!
Out with the square, in with the curvy. ;D
Nice! I'd like to see the Adobe logo slightly larger — it's a nice touch.
I'm loving it, na na na naa naaa :)
@Jack Bingham Hm, maybe you're right. I'll tinker with that. Thanks!
@Jack Bingham I made the Adobe logo for the 128 & 256 variants – they are included in the download from www.maxthemes.com
Thanks for your input on the matter!
This is awesome Max. I use it. Hope the other icons will come soon.
@Jesper van Haaren I'd like to wait until I know how the new color schemes for CS6 are gonna be.
@Max Rudberg Cool! What about Lightroom 4?
@Jesper van Haaren Definitely! Thanks for the headsup on that one.
~ NOW ~ I Am On Dribbble So I Can Spread My ♥ To This Icon !
I hate the direction Adobe went with the CS icons since CS3, but i guess they just want them to feel 'professional'. What you've done is very nice, but i would still prefer an icon style like CS 1 and 2.
