Really digging this overall. The only thing that confuses me is the reason for the different thickness/color of all of the horizontal lines.
The one dividing "in reply to" and "Publish as:" makes sense as a thin light grey, but there are still 4 different styles other than that. Is it an interactivity thing that I'm missing out on because I'm only looking at a screenshot and not seeing hover/focus effects?

There's still a lot of lines in there, but i toned them down and made things a little clearer. Perhaps the full shot will help give more context.
It definitely looks cleaner, but I bet you could get away with reducing the thickness of that bottom line above the buttons to 1 pixel. I might be taking it too far, though. :)
