    I have accepted the challenge @Dave. Here is the dropdown for tag menu.

    This a quick shot so some details couldn't be taken care of. Will cover them in another rebound along with different states of menu while hovering over different alphabets. This one is default.

    Well done, sir :)

    Might be overkill for a dropdown, BUT I could easily see this type of functionality on the tags page itself.

    One idea for the drop down might be a short list of currently popular tags.

    @Dan: Overkill? might be so. I'm sure you have seen heavy drop-down menus these days, something beautiful by Happy Cog on http://visitphilly.com

    In an extended functionality in this menu user will see all tags for any alphabet just by hovering over any of them without clicking to visit the page.
