@Mike it's just in grayscale so I can work out the mechanics. Not really messing too much with color/kerning as of yet.
@Ralph!@Liam,
Thanks Liam! What could make it look more "photo-ey"? If it's out of context I'd like it to play as close to is as possible. However, it's not a stretch to go from movies or films to photography. Same connotation.
@Chad, Not really sure, as they're both so similar. I wouldn't really worry about it. I think it's just the shape that reminded me of an old film projector, but you can project images or slideshows so it's still relevant.
@Liam,
Awesome. It didn't worry me too much you drew that "idea" (like you said, your basically there already with images and slideshows) so, that's cool. I was just seeing if there was something else that you thought would help it.
@Chad the only thing that really occurred to me was that negatives are usually short and stubby whereas cinema reel is long. So you could try making the shapes on the film longer to make the film feel shorter. Not sure. :/

Technically it's great, but how are we supposed to judge if it's appropriate without knowing more? :)

@Chris you hit the nail on the head. I was making sure that's what was drawn without me saying anything about it.
@ralph it's photography related. Just making sure someone else drew the conclusion without me planting it there. Thank you! Glad it looks good :)

the typography is alright, maybe some warmer colors if the thing in question shoots mainly color photography. otherwise i like the marks.

@Chad I see, well I 1st thought about cinema, then photography. I guess that might be me being young rather than anything else.

Looks great Chad, I sort of got Movies or Films at first, but I'm sure when it's in context that won't be a problem.

Either way, as I say, I do like it.

When it comes to colour, it might be worth staying away from red... cliché cinema furnishings are always red or orange.
