Just trying out some layer styles, I'm really feelin' the "soft plastic bubble" feel these buttons have. Also a screenshot won't really do just for the animation/interaction this view controller will have :)

Very nice. I've actually been using a pretty similar look in my app designs. Much better than the default set.
This looks very good, nice and subtle. The shapes need to get their asses back on the pixel boundary, though :)
Thanks for the nice words gang. Sebastiaan, I've been following your work for a while now, I love your attention to detail, do you have any links to writeups or guidance about your "pixel boundary" comment?
I think he's referring to the curved top left and right corners on your app and the gap they leave between your app and the top info bar thing (where the time and battery indicator reside). I think it would be best to keep your app rectangular.
@Luke, I'd agree with you except Apple just started making this the standard with the iPad's UINavigationControllers. I've been doing my iPhone apps this way for a while. Kinda feel like Apple stole my thunda!!
Seriously though, I'm very upset.
I dont mind the rounded edges on the app itself...
I'm pretty sure Sebastiaan's talking about the buttons' top edge being on a half pixel.
