With this redesign, I'm trying to avoid huge blocks of a single color and use it much more sparingly to reinforce information rather than overwhelm it.
Instead of all of the key attributes sharing the same visual styling in the status bar, they'll be smart and know whether to emphasize themselves with color. (See rebound for an issue that clearly has problems and needs some attention.)
In place of the existing status bar, each of the major attributes will now be smart enough to know whether it's important on its own. The content itself says enough, but we also conditionally color things so that they stand out if they're overdue or something worth being concerned about.
By moving to a two-column instead of three-column layout and making the secondary column wider, the important attributes get the real estate that they deserve.
The additional horizontal space allowed for adding language like "Updated" and "Created" which makes it much more obvious what each attribute represents.
