Agree with @Lance, this one is particularly good. The heaviness of 'is like' is really striking against the lighter styles, works perfectly. How do you come up with/choose all the phrases you use in these?
Four or five different typographic styles, and everything is well balanced, works great together, with a great quote on top of it all. Nicely done @Sean!!
Thanks @Claire. =) These last two pieces were more popular quotes (this one by "Unknown"), but usually I write most of them myself. Most of the time I have something I want to say, so I write it and use lettering to speak it. Sometimes though, I really have an itch to do some lettering, and just don't have much of a writing inspiration at the moment, so I'll select a quote to do. (a good way to tell is to google the phrase. the ones that you only see my website as a result, I wrote =)
Love the idea of using lettering to "speak it", that's so nicely said. Thanks for the explanation! Was always curious as to how you consistently come up with some good phrases to illustrate.
@Terra Thanks, it's definitely a trip getting the tracking right while fitting the entire word to the line width! It's a bit easier on words that aren't scripts as you have more freedom kerning when the letters aren't all connected. Appreciate it!
