Logo for Whitman Consulting Group, a financial/tax consulting firm. Client was looking for a unique and ownable mark, the owner has a Cherokee Indian heritage and wanted to infuse that into the design. Eagle feathers were sacred to the Cherokee and held many meanings, the three colors are dominant colors in the Cherokee Nation. The feathers form a W letterform. The attachment shows a one color version.
@Muhammad Ali Effendy, @Paulius Kairevičius, @Alex Toth, @Alen Type08 Pavlovic, thanks guys, really appreciate it a lot and glad you like it. I like the one color version too, the full color version is going to be quite unique for them in this industry!
@Julius Seniūnas Ha ha! Yeah right, you are just getting started and I see great things. I appreciate your comment.
I really like this, it caught my eye right away. Those colours are stunning! (The one colour version too - the tone is just great). I'm particularly impressed at how you handled the subject perfectly though, the idea is executed really beautifully in a quietly confident way.
Nice job, Sean. That W in Whitman really adds a nice touch to the overall character of the logo. I also really like the colors. Did the client insist on keeping the LLC as part of their name? Never understand that. :-P Also, very very minor comment, but I wonder if you could have moved the subtext down just a few pixels. It slightly feels like it's hugging the Whitman wordmark a little bit. All in all, though, really nice job.
@Florin Capota - Thanks, man, really appreciate it!
@Claire Coullon - Thanks! Glad you picked up on the quiet, confident demeanor, that was some of the intent since they are a financial company.
@Mike Bruner So glad to hear you like it, Mikey, thanks!
@saurabhj - Thanks so much!
@Brendan Pittman - I was torn between posting the full color or the one-color, I really dig the one-color too. Thanks for your comment!
@matt rossi - Thanks, good to hear!
@Waila Skinner - Thanks, Waila, appreciate it!
@Kevin Burr - Thanks Kevin, appreciate you weighing in. I agree, that W does seem to add something, I found it to be a great fit for this. That is an un-tweaked font, really like it. They did insist on keeping the LLC, yes. :) That is so funny you mentioned moving the subtext down a little. You know, I am a bit older than some here and I always handled subtext like that or taglines with a wider offset, such as you are suggesting, but I felt like a lot of people have been pulling the subtext in a little bit recently and I have (at first reluctantly) tried to follow suit. Maybe I am imagining things. A couple years ago I would have felt this is very tight but my mindset has seemingly changed some. This is likely a done deal but I'm really glad you said something. Thanks!
